Our shared values: Defining the values that drive our success

As we grow, we want to make sure we’re clear about what matters to us as a company. Our shared values define who we are, how we work, and what we stand for. They reflect both our internal culture and what our customers and industry expect from us.

For the past 25 years, our success has been driven by a combination of expertise, initiative, and a strong work ethic. However, as we expand beyond 100 employees and look to hire more this year, we wanted to take a step back and clearly define the values that have made us successful. This isn’t about reinventing ourselves, it’s about putting into words what has been and should be important to us, so we can strengthen it as we move forward.

We started this process by scanning best practices in the B2B IT and software industry and identifying values relevant to the work we do. Our senior leadership team narrowed this down to 10, before opening it up to the entire company for discussion. The final five values were chosen based on what truly represents us and will help guide us into the future. At our company kick-off event, we talked about what these values really mean in our day-to-day work and how we can bring them to life across the business.

Expertise  

We use our collective knowledge and continuous learning to deliver trusted solutions and lead projects to success.  

Customer focus  

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We take the time to understand their goals, speak their language, and respond with care and efficiency.  

Adaptability  

We embrace change, stay flexible, and listen so we can meet the evolving needs of our customers and colleagues.  

Knowledge sharing  

We believe in open communication and collaboration, making sure knowledge flows freely to help everyone grow, succeed, and deliver more value to our customers.  

Accountability  

We take ownership of our actions, keep our promises, and lead by example so we can consistently deliver great results together.  

How we put our values into action

These values are not just words on a page. They’re principles we want to strengthen in everything we do. Some of the ways we’re making sure they stay at the heart of our work include:  

  • Encouraging more collaboration between teams so we can share knowledge and improve how we work together.  
  • Setting clear customer communication standards and feedback loops so we can stay in tune with what’s important to them.  
  • Providing training to help teams manage uncertainty and navigate change.  
  • Creating expert groups to deepen our technical knowledge and keep up with industry developments.  
  • Supporting leadership development so people have opportunities to grow and mentor others.  
  • Making our external communications more open, sharing more about how we help customers and the real-world impact of our work.  

This isn’t about making big changes. It’s about strengthening what’s already made us successful and making sure we stay true to it as we grow.
