Waterleiding Maatschappij Limburg’s (WML) path to GDPR compliance

WML, a consumer-facing company, faced challenges aligning with EU’s GDPR due to complex data retention needs across different departments. Recommended by SAP Netherlands, WML sought our help to determine their data access and data retention requirments as well as implement SAP ILM and SAP IQ for GDPR compliance, setting up data blocking and controlled deletion of sensitive data.

Addressing GDPR compliance for employee data

With more than 40,000 students and employees, Helsinki University needed to get a better handle on the massive amounts of personal data in its SAP systems to ensure it was complying with GDPR. Driving digital transformation at Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Rail)

Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Rail), the main passenger railway operator in the Netherlands, partnered with Proceed to implement SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) for legacy systems decommissioning and to control data growth in S/4HANA. Migrating and integrating all documents from NGN’s legacy storage solution over to the new OpenText environment

Moving to AWS cloud meant NGN needed to decommission their legacy storage solution. Due to statutory legalities, the old data needed to be accessible within their SAP environment. Using OpenText’s Archive Centre, Proceed successfully migrated all documents and created link table entries in AWS SAP. NGN has now completely removed the old data centre, achieving significant reductions in infrastructure spend, and a leaner data environment.
